Get Hooked with Amateur Boxing

Our non-profit organization promotes and encourages a healthy, competitive spirit among young people in an effort to keep them off the streets and out of trouble.
We have set up a “basic” gym and accept kids at no charge to train.  The gym is located at 1717 Adams Street in Toledo, Ohio.  Amateur boxing is indeed a worthwhile project which shows kids of all ages, race and social status what they are capable of achieving without getting involved with drugs and the type of life associated with them.
From reading the news everyday, it is clear that anti-drug youth activities are needed in our community and throughout society.  Youth drug use seems to be spurred by the desire to be accepted by their peers, to boost self-esteem, ease stress, to feel sensual, strong and powerful.  Our amateur boxing program can help achieve some of these desires in a more positive way.  Our goal is to increase youth awareness of the damages of drug abuse and help create positive attitudes and self-images through participation in spirited, competitive boxing events.  Our objective is to reach youth at an early age and to provide education and present positive alternatives to drug abuse.  Boxing can gain local attention as a preventative strategy to combat drugs and street violence.  We are trying to promote an important message to our youth.
The youth that are now training at The International Boxing Club come from different areas of the city of Toledo.  Some of them have never been outside of Toledo, Ohio.  Being a member of our team, they have been able to travel to the following cities for competitions: California: Oxnard; Indiana: Fort Wayne;  Kansas: Lenexa; Kentucky: Lexington, Louisville;  Michigan: Ann Arbor, Bay City, Dearborn, Detroit, Grand Rapids, Lansing, Marquette, Mt. Pleasant, Pontiac and Saginaw; Missouri: Kansas City; Ohio: Akron,  Cincinnati, Cleveland, Columbus, Dayton, Lima, McClure and Youngstown;  Washington: Spokane; Canada: Sault Ste. Marie and Windsor along with several other cities nationwide.  This program has been successful and will continue to be successful with your support.
We are asking for your help.  Any donations will be greatly appreciated.  We are a non-profit organization.
We are especially looking for contributors.  A Gold Sponsorship consists of $100; A Silver Sponsorship consists of $50; A Bronze Sponsorship consists of $25.
Your support would be graciously appreciated.
